I do not quite understand why exactly P&G is making such a big deal about advertising with the "Thank You, Mom" campaign. I know that everyone depends on their parents and thanks them for their sacrifices, but what is the campaign supposed to do for the company?
ReplyDeleteI think this is a cool idea, but I don't like how it focuses only on moms. There are a lot of moms who help their athletes, but there are also a lot of dads who help too. I know the article said they would thank dads around Father's Day, but I think they should alternate the commercials for moms and for dads.
ReplyDeleteThe "Thank you, mom" Campaign is a really good idea i think cause it shows that they do care about the families that raised the athletes. It used to just focus on the athlete but now it plays on people's compasion which will be a good play to get more money and responce on thier campaign.
ReplyDeletei think it will bring in mothers but leaves a large demographic out. only a percent of all women are mothers.
ReplyDeleteI like this. It's very seemingly selfless for the company, and even though it probably is a huge advertising scheme, it's very well done. It worked well - now I'm thinking of Proctor.
ReplyDeleteI think it is very interesting ad campaign. Seems like a big undertaking with all the different types of advertising from social networking, mobile app, and tv. I like the general idea of the ad campaign and wounder what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteI like this campaign it is a way of making these bigg athletes more relatable and the products they use will be perceived as ones of “champions”. The mother aspect just makes a nurturing environment that they need to showcase their products.
