As the entire tech community anxiously waits for what my be the anoccuncment of the new iPhone in the coming days, another mobile device is drawing new interest: Amazon's Kindle. As of this writing, Amazon hasn't asked for the commercials to be removed from YouTube, so it would be reasonable to assume that this early "leak" was strategic rather than an inadvertent blunder of some sort. Furthermore, opting to launch its new tablet just days before Apple's new announcement illustrates Amazon's newfound confidence in its hardware offerings and competitive position in the market.
