Arab-Muslim To Join 'Green Lantern' Comic Series

Geoff John used his own background as an Arab-American to create a new character for DC Comics.  Geoff John is the cheif creator and writer of the relaunched 'Green Lantern' series.  Most of the facts about Simon Baz are based on Geoff John.  They both have the same ancestory and the same home, Detroit.  These comic are not only for the enjoyment of people but also to show the effects that events such as September 11, 2001 have had on people.
