On Aug. 18, off Hawaii's fabled Kono coast during the Big island Invitational Marlin Tournament a girl Named Molly Palmer  had a huge four hour fight with a thousand pound Marlin forfeited $40,000, and a  women's world record when she got tired and handed the pole over to one of her teammates.

  1. i am really proud of these women for what they did. they had a chance to take the dishonest route and win $40000 and a world record however they did what some would consider stupid in that they were honest enough to get themselves disqualified from the tournament because they were honest and let their conscience guide them. that was a brave move by the whole team. plus, to have realled in a 1020lbs. marlin is an acomplishment in itself.
